Hotel Sofitel | (Los Angeles, CA)

As a result of the 1994 Northridge Earthquake, the Hotel Sofitel had numerous cracks and fractures on the facade surfaces. Spectra Company removed and replaced the total plaster cladding on the East side of the Hotel. Additional special treatment was required in some areas due to extensive damage resulting from the earthquake. Upon completion of the repairs to the structure, the total exterior was waterproofed using Dow Corning 'Allguard,' a silicone elastomeric coating. All caulking and sealants were removed and replaced with Dow Corning 795 silicone caulking.
