Alex Sandoval is currently a Supervisor for Spectra Company. Alex is a skilled artisan, having worked in the historic conservation industry for over 18 years. Alex specializes in murals, decorative painting, sculpting, terrazzo, concrete, iron, bronze and glass. Alex is not only a Supervisor, but a skilled, hands-on artisan/conservator. Alex's expertise in mural work includes cleaning, varnish removal and re-application, re-touching and restoring damaged canvases, panels and substrates. Alex has worked under renowned Conservationist Rosa Lowinger on artifacts, mural painting and sculpture projects. He has also worked for the City of Los Angeles restoring such prestigious projects as the Transportation Mural in Inglewood, the Hollenbeck Police Extension Mural in East Los Angeles and the Watts Towers. Alex's restoration project portfolio also includes Catalina Island Casino in Avalon, the Wilshire Theatre in Beverly Hills, the El Dorado Lofts, the Eastern Columbia Building in downtown Los Angeles, and the Cal Tech Campus in Pasadena.
